バングラデシュ、チッタゴン丘陵で、1月22日に2名のマルマ女性が軍関係者にレイプされ、
その後強制的に病院に監禁されました。
また2月15日には、無理やり自宅に変えそうとする軍関係者が、付き添いのボランティア
女性たちに暴力を振るい、被害者を連れ去る事件も起こしています。
和平協定も充分実行されていない中、このような横暴な行為が容認されることに、
ジュマ・ネットとして非常に遺憾に思います。

軍のこうした行為と態度に対して、ジュマ・ネットとして抗議文を3月10日、
在日本バングラデシュ大使館、3月12日に首相官邸にＦＡＸしました。

バングラデシュの立場の弱い少数民族の問題に取り組む日本のNGO、ジュマ・ネットは、2018年１月22日にランガマティ県ビライチョリ郡フォルア・ユニオンのオラチョリ村での軍の捜索作戦中にマルマ人少女2名がレイプおよび性的虐待に遭い、ランガマティ総合病院で3週間以上にわたって治安軍による厳しい監視の下で拘束され、2018年2月15日に治安軍により病院から強制的に別の場所に移されたと報告されていることを深く憂慮しています。
また、マルマ人少女たちが連行される際、病院で少女たちの世話をしていたチャクマ民族首長のアドバザーであるヤン・ヤン氏とボランティア1名が治安軍にひどい暴力を受けたと報告されていることにショックを覚えます。

マルマ人姉妹に対するレイプと性的虐待、病院での監視と強制連行、チャクマ首長アドバイザーのヤン・ヤン氏とボランティアに対する攻撃の真相を究明するために独立した委員会を設け、その犯人を訴追し、処罰するよう貴政府に要請致します。マルマ人少女たちとその家族が安全に普通の生活に戻ることができるよう支援されるよう要請します。

Re: Rape, sexual assault and mistreatment of Marma girls and physical
assault on Chakma Circle Adviser allegedly by security forces

Jumma Net, a Japan-based NGO working for marginalized ethnic minorities in Bangladesh, expresses its deep concern regarding the reported rape and sexual assault of two Marma girls during a military search operation in Orasori village, Farua Union, Bilaichari sub-district of Rangamati on January 22nd, 2018, their detention in Rangamati General Hospital under strict surveillance of security forces for more than three weeks, and their forced transport from the hospital against their will by security forces on February 15th, 2018.  We are shocked by reports that Chakma Circle Adviser Yan Yan and a volunteer who had been caring for the Marma girls in the hospital were beaten badly by security forces when the girls were taken away.

We call upon your government to form an independent commission to investigate the rape and sexual assault on the Marma sisters, their subjection to surveillance in and forced transfer from the hospital, and the attack on Chakma Circle Adviser Yan Yan and the volunteer.  We demand the prosecution and punishment of those found responsible.  We ask that assistance be provided for the Marma girls and their family to return to a normal life with safety.
